RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
 
Lead executive level project reviews and successfully manage stakeholder expectations
Establish a deep understanding of the project content and be able to clearly articulate the business value, required timeline and business/operational impact of delays
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the project content, project ownership and accountability for the success of the project
Create business cases with cost-benefit analyses to develop financial value and ROI of projects
Measure and communicate project status and key performance indicators (KPIs) to executive stakeholders (both written updates and in-person updates) on a weekly and monthly basis
Create and execute contingency plans, as needed, to deliver outcomes and value when roadblocks arise
Identify and communicate roadblocks or issues as they arise, and develop corrective action plans to get project or activity to “green” status
Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing complex application and system implementation projects using a formal project management methodology
May manage multiple projects of moderate size concurrently
Involved in the development of strategic plans for projects of high business complexity
Develops detailed plans and schedules
Monitors project metrics for significant deviations in quality, cost, or schedule
Assists in establishing and improving project management methodologies, procedures and policies
Coaches and mentors individuals on the project teams and provides feedback on performance to their leaders
 
TOP 3 SKILLS REQUIRED:
 
Create project charters (defining business problem, scope, KPIs, and target outcomes) and detailed project plans
Effectively manage on-time completion of project milestones, and adhere to relevant change control processes
Manage concurrent projects involving cross-functional project teams with members from IT, business operations, process engineering, program management office, and product development
 
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and Project Management Professional certification is required (PMP, PgMP, PMI-PBA, PMI-ACP)
Minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience required
 
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES (SKA) REQUIRED:
 
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required, with emphasis on manipulation (and analysis) of data
Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint are required, with emphasis executive presentations
Solid understanding of Microsoft Project for effective project management.
Data quality / data validation techniques to ensure information published or presented is accurate
Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills are required
Experience building business cases with financial value and cost data
Effective communication skills, with experience presenting to vice-president and director levels
Effective organization and time management skills are required
Ability to appropriately manage resources, budgets, issues, and risks for the successful completion of projects.
Must demonstrate leadership ability and team building skills to effectively lead teams of non-direct reports to deliver outcomes
Ability to manage cross-functional projects without supervision. 
Build effective business relationships and partnerships across the organization to deliver outcomes
Ability to establish rapport and maintain customer satisfaction without compromising priorities
Ability to interact with others to build consensus and get decisions implemented
Ability to establish workflows, manages multiple projects, and meet necessary deadlines
Ability to maintain confidentiality
 
MORE QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Adheres to Project Management Office policies, procedures, and methodologies
Complete knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s standards and terminology
Oversees client/customer relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
Wide latitude in determining creative solutions to strategic and operational needs
A high proficiency level in specific job related skills is required.
 
Education Requirements:
 
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
