Job Description: 
  The incumbent is responsible for performing Business Analysis and Project Management for the OMIG’s applications and projects.  They will also serve as the OMIG’s IT Project Portfolio coordinator.   
- Coordinate OMIG’s IT Project Portfolio. Involves obtaining project updates, preparing (updating) the Portfolio report and facilitating Portfolio meetings with OMIG executive and IT staff.
- Work in partnership with the business area to create and update the business case and provide management with information to help determine whether to continue to invest in the project.
- Serve as project manager for IT projects. Involves initiating, planning and overseeing new projects throughout the project life cycle.
- Maintain project schedules in ITSM and/or MS Project.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the OMIG’s IT environment to ensure adherence to standards and utilization of accepted practices for enterprise design.
 - Manage the implementation of NYS Lean projects at OMIG, managing Lean Empire belts at the agency, and working with OMIG executives to identify new project candidates for Lean implementation - Perform business/systems analysis and design activities.
- Meets with users to gather requirements and to evolve the project.  Also, may attend IT Customer Liaison meetings with business areas.
- Develop and maintain design documents.
- Perform various design activities, such as creating program specifications, use cases, work flow diagrams/structure charts and logical data models.
- Review and recommend the selection of software to meet OMIG’s business needs.

Audits/Investigations and/or Income Tax audits case management systems, in a Microsoft .Net/Java platform and/or MS SQL/Oracle back-end environments

2. 84 Months   Experience performing Business Analysis with gathering business, functional, and system requirements, system design, test plans and execution for Medicaid Audits / investigation and/or Income Tax audits related case management systems, and/or
utilizing HP Quality Center and/or Blueprint testing tools

3. 84 Months   Experienceimplementing, managing and troubleshooting electronic documents solutions, third-party APIs interfaces and OCR engines, and Xerox Docushare as the enterprise electronic document content repository. #of months  
4. 72 Months   Experiencemanaging, and supporting audit work-papers documentation systems, involving case replication, sampling, reporting, recipient claims, findings and profiling, with focus on Medicaid provider audits, utilizing Microsoft .Net/C# technology #of months  
5. 36 Months   Experience with managing the development and implementation of Lean projects, working directly with executives and upper management to identify new potential projects, and managing a Lean staff #of months  
6.  Education/Certification
 - Bachelor's or higher degree
 - Current or past PMP certification
