  • The Solution Architect will be responsible for applying evolving technologies, techniques, and frameworks to create and deliver cloud solutions for Corporate Security and Resilience (CS&R).
  • Architect, design and document integrated system solutions
  • Ensure detailed designs align with solution architecture
  • Identify risks and provide alternative solution options
  • Act as focal point for any changes to approved designs (solution or component level)
  • Ensure non-functional (solution) requirements are considered (e.g. monitoring)
  • Ensure project plan reflects all required technical tasks related to the domain
  • Presents technology solutions to business partners, technology teams and senior management
  • Provide design process guidance for detailed design teams and review designs to ensure compliance with architecture
  • Review, recommend, and develop analysis and design processes and templates
  • Guide projects through architecture reviews and approval processes (e.g. Architecture Review Board)
  • Define reusable practices and artifacts for strategic technologies
  • Facilitate requirement and design activities as required to guide projects through scoping, analysis, and design
  • Produce  analysis and design work products
  • Review  existing documents and interview subject matter experts to gather information about existing business processes and systems
  • Responsible for identifying and migrating appropriate legacy applications to cloud tools and processes. 
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements and define problems and develop plans and requirements for complex systems related to systems architecture.
  • Compose design documentation, training guides along with integration of third party security products within the current infrastructure.
  • Offer consultative advice in security principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills to contribute towards resolution.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant technology architecture experience
  • Experience defining technology architecture in Financial Services
  • Experience leading virtual teams composed of business and technology resources
  • Ability to communicate with in a clear and precise manner, including the ability to independently and effectively participate in strategic collaborations with other line of business peers
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively and deliver against commitments
  • Proficient written communication skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in using multiple SDLC methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with banking products and operations (Consumer / Retail Banking, Commercial Banking)
  • Experience creating and maintaining architecture perspectives and roadmaps
  • Experience working with the design, integration and/or support of vendor packages within an overall enterprise architecture
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks & industry models (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL, BIAN)
  • Experience working with EA tools, Agile Processes, CI/CD Practices and Tools
