This position is open again for a DBA / DBE for in Atlanta for 6 months plus who can configure Oracle DB, do back ups and potential upgrades. Stored procedures, Triggers, someone who can design the DB, with SQL and PL/SQL. 7-9 year’s experience, no more.  If they have ETL that is a plus using Informatica but it is not necessary. Contract for 6 months and likely will go longer.   
This is a Database Engineer (Dev/Ops) but should have some Java knowledge. They will need to focus on Database and SQL but know Java to be able to transform DB jobs to possible Java programs. Personality is also key.  Must be very personable and communications skills must be 9/10.
This consultant will help provide the data that enables cutting-edge web applications for desktop and mobile devices developed for products and services.  In this exciting position, you will work hands-on with database analysis, design, programming, testing and maintenance in an agile development environment. You will work on a collaborative software development team in a fluid, fast-paced environment.  The Database Administrator will interact with development team members and business contacts and work on multiple concurrent development projects with minimal supervision.  This position will play a key role in developing the next generation of functionality and capability.
Install, configure and monitor Oracle Database.
Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role
Work with scrum teams and is responsible for a variety of tasks including analysis, design, programming, testing and maintenance.
Monitor performance and maintain system health and security, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Design backup processes for server and associated data
Create accounts for users and assign security levels
Establish a disaster recovery protocol and help resolve operational issues.
Provide end-to-end technical support and problem resolution.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Modeling and In-depth concepts of RDBMS Oracle / SQL Server.
  • Expert knowledge in SQL
  • Expert knowledge in PL/SQL and database code objects like stored procedures, triggers, etc.
    5-7 years’ experience in Oracle database technologies.
  • Experience with configuring and managing Snapshot Replication.
  • Understanding or experience using Oracle Real Application Cluster’s and implementation best-practices
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
  • Familiarity with Database design, documentation and coding
  • Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
  • Solid understanding of software engineering basics including data and architecture
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions, ability to diagnose and resolve operational DB issues such as backup, recovery, corruption, infrastructure performance issues, etc.
  • Experience in production code deployment
  • Unix shell and Windows batch scripting
  • Database performance monitoring and tuning
