Position Description/Responsibilities:
SQL Server DBA  in the Lancaster, Pa area.
Candidate MUST also have experience with PRIYA.
This is a 3-6  month position with possible extension...with local candidates preferred.
There is a good chance this position could go much longer.
  • Experience in all phases of database administration, including: installation, configuration, physical and logical database design, performance tuning, writing stored procedures, triggers, security, troubleshooting, and managing backup and recovery plans. 
  • Experience with replication; configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience in supporting large production, test, and development database environments. 
  • Transact SQL programming experience. 
  • Experience with current/recent versions of SQL Server.
  • Act as the liaison between clients, customers, and vendors by collaborating with the user community to identify issues and improve opportunities that exist within the businesses.
  • Foster strong working relationships and maintain an open and effective communication with subject matter experts, technical resources and sprint teams to deliver consistent and quality results.
  • Perform troubleshooting, investigation, analysis, and evaluation of day-to-day application problems, and track them to completion.
  • Assist Product Owners by providing business and technical information that supports user stories and participate in the planning and deployment of software changes into production environments.
  • Identify gaps in the standard Software/System functionality and suggest alternative options or custom processes to achieve the desired results.
  • Design, develop and enhance reports and forms to meet the needs of the business.
  • Adhere to company deployed ITIL best practices and basic project management principles and concepts.
  • Possess the ability to multitask, diagnose and provide solutions to complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Identify opportunities to provide general user training and mentoring of Application Coordinators.
  • Remain current with application release features and business knowledge to optimize the use of business applications.
  • Create and maintain technical support documentation, production application configurations and standard operating procedures.
  • Utilize documentation to resolve issues and to provide cross-training of Application Team members.
Position Requirements/Technical Skills:
Required Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Information Technology or related degree with 3+ years overall I.T. experience or other equivalent combination of education & experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of functional I.T. experience within supply chain or warehousing environment preferred. Preference given to candidates with AFS-Priya and/or RFSmart Application knowledge.
  • Intermediate level of experience defining and mapping business processes preferred
  • Basic knowledge of master data management preferred
  • Ability to write and maintain technical process and procedure documentation
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with experience working in and promoting a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, keen attention-to-detail and strong desire for quality
