  • The ideal candidate will have approximately 7 plus years of both Manual and Automation experience. This role intially will entail manual testing but our client will be moving from manual to automation hopefully with the guidance of the selected candidate. Experience with Microsoft tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) would be helpful as would any Automation Tools such as Selenium.
  • This is a long term contract. All candidates must be available for both a phone and in-person interview. There are no skype interviews.
  • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
  • Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
  • Attend test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.
  • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to the project team.
  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
  • Reports to the Quality Assurance Team Lead.
  • Manages day-to-day QA efforts of technical projects.
  • Internally, collaborates with internal resources including: project managers, business analysts, subject matter experts and IT programmers.
  • Bachelors degree in a technically-oriented degree or business degree.
  • 7+ years of systems testing experience for medium to complex-sized projects.
  • Demonstrated success working in Agile team environment.
  • Both manual and automation testing experience.
  • Must be self-managing, highly motivated and have a strong commitment to quality.
  • Ability to comprehend and breakdown complex business concepts quickly.
  • Able to take creative approaches to solving challenging problems in a collaborative setting.
  • Professional presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Experience in successful implementations of information technology within a business environment.
  • Information management/analysis expertise.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and customer service issues.
